Oak Park Elementary celebrates national honor | Community Spirit

Faculty, staff and students celebrated a major accomplishment at a local elementary school.

Oak Park Elementary celebrated being a National Blue Ribbon School on Friday. The entire school witnessed the ribbon cutting to celebrate the great achievement.

Oak Park Principal Sabrina Anderson says the distinction means a great deal to the students.

"It's showing that no matter where you come from or what you have, you can excel," Anderson says. "All you have to do is just believe. You can be anything that you want. So, this is really wonderful for the boys and girls at Oak Park."
