SPAR announces annual health fair | Events

Shreveport Public Assembly & Recreation's Chris Hays Community Center will hold its Annual Community Health Fair from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday at its 4300 Illinois St. location.

The Health Fair will have a number of health and social services agencies and organizations providing information on the services provided to the public.

Among the participating agencies/organizations/persons are the Social Security Administration, LaChip, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center, Ollie Mosley, RN Ret., Kathy Mondello with Professional Home Health Services, Providence House, Spice 4 Life, Me Time Massage Theraphy and Lifescan with Rouke Smith.
 
Free tests to be provided at the health fair include blood pressure and diabetes screening.

Walgreen will offer flu shots free to those with insurance and $32.00 for the uninsured. Proof of insurance is required for free shots.
